Specialist support for a clearer journey

A pet relocation does not begin or end at the airport. Collection timing, crate readiness, travel documents, cargo-terminal hand-over and destination release all need to align. Owners also need to know who is responsible at each stage.

Pets Abroad can include collection and delivery services within the agreed service area. We plan contact points and timing, confirm what must travel with the pet, and coordinate the hand-over with the flight or arrival team.

What this service can include

  • Collection-address and access planning
  • Pre-collection readiness checklist
  • Suitable vehicle and crate handling
  • Airport or agent hand-over coordination
  • Arrival collection and status updates
  • Home or agreed-address delivery where available

What the process looks like

The final sequence will be tailored to the pet, route and services selected in the quotation.

1. Confirm the collection plan

Agree the address, contact, access, pet count, crates, documents and collection window.

2. Complete readiness checks

Verify the pet, crate, labels, supplies and original document pack before departure from the home.

3. Transport and hand over

Move the pet using the agreed setup and record the transfer to the airline or handling agent.

4. Coordinate arrival release

Track the expected release process and communicate any timing changes.

5. Complete final delivery

Confirm the receiving person and close the journey with a documented hand-over.

Every hand-over should be explicit

A clear chain of responsibility reduces uncertainty. Names, numbers, locations, timing windows and the document owner should be agreed before collection—not improvised while the pet is in transit.

Frequently asked questions

Final advice must be based on the current route and official requirements.

Which areas does Pets Abroad collect from and deliver to?

Coverage depends on the route, service availability and travel date. Provide both addresses when requesting a quotation so the collection and delivery scope can be confirmed.

Does someone need to be home for collection?

A responsible adult should normally complete the hand-over, confirm the pet and documents, and provide any final instructions. Alternative arrangements must be agreed in advance.

Can multiple pets travel in one collection?

Yes, subject to vehicle, crate and route planning. Each pet still needs an individual readiness and identification check.

Editorial review required: Verify current authority, airline, veterinary, route, quarantine, service-area and pricing statements before publication.
